SuperSegak is an art indulgence that playfully experiments in works of optical shifts and instinctual markings.  We have a penchant for live printing and sharing love for art through workshops.

(Translation: We like bold visuals created by freedom of expression and accidents. We do this at events and workshops too.)

If  Not  Art, Then  What?

SuperSegak heads with the vision of being an authentic art-making movement as an alternative to formal practice and spaces.

Without forsaking meaning, intentions and fine crafts, SuperSegak began working with independent creatives through merging music, art and community engagement. This energy has seen creative collaborations with small initiatives to commercial and corporate organisations.
Some of these projects include parties like FacebookNational Library Board, Esplanade, Education Services Union, Malay Heritage Centre, LASALLE, NOISE Singapore, NUSS, Maketh Projects, Straits Records and more.

Iefa Shamsir is a trained printmaker from LASALLE College of the Arts and has exhibited in Esplanade, Singapore Tyler Print Institute, TAKSU Gallery and AIMPE in Japan and has curated exhibitions at Alliance Francaise Singapore and National Youth Council.

She leads the creative direction of SuperSegak as a vibe, an aesthetic; a practice that comes from an innate need for experience. Started in 2012, SuperSegak initially shared  art forms like screenprinting, marbling and rubber stamping at art markets and have since expanded this spirit of sharing to live events, workshops and elaborate modular programmes for schools.
